Quinta de Reis
Quinta dos Reis is a property that belongs to the Ferreira dos Reis family with a tradition in the production of bulk wines up to last century’s 60s era. Since then, with the advent of cooperativism, it became devoted to producing grapes for the Cooperative Winery of Silgueiros.
In 2003 the current owner, Jorge A. Ferreira dos Reis, a doctor and winemaker, converted the vine having planting in it mostly Touriga Nacional grapes, it recovered and modernised the cellar, returning it to its ancestral winemaking, which had been abandoned for decades.
With other plots near the Estate, the vineyards amount to 15 hectares, producing red and white wines of reputed quality.
